Trends come and then they go…and then they come back again. Custom Roller Shades is an excellent example a trend that keeps returning. Each generation seems to find something fresh about the product. Possibly, the introduction of new fibers moves this classic product to the front of the line again.

I am a fan of the Roller Shades but it always makes me nervous to put something in my home that is considered “trendy” just because I am more interested in something that will be considered beautiful for as long as I live in my home, which will be a long time. They look great in that bedroom though. I’m sure it will be considered beautiful for a long time!

thank you for taking the time to respond. I think they are in and out so often that they have become classic…like grasscloth wallpaper. The young designers think it is so new and fresh…I’ve had it in my home for 30 years.

Yes good point. Plus, it must feel great to receive such a positive response for something you have been doing forever. Looking back at your post, after reading your comment, I see more clearly the distinction between a reoccurring trend and one time trend. I think you are right, the Roller Shades are timeless because they keep coming back!
